You guys need to stop releasing good episodes, I'm like 5 behind, just listened to the China one

NYCM&AHole

Lol oh this series is like the one trueanon thing I didn’t listen to.

Miles

It wasn’t an A but a pretty in tune G

Untold Suffering

Anyone know what the song snippet at 1:05 is from?

Glad to hear John's got a new album out. I've been a little basic bitch lately and have really just been listening to the latest arctic monkeys, and gorillaz

Hey I gues long time listener by now/first timer poster.. I’m a middle aged Atlanta dude that’s moved from there but loved braces carbonas shout out a few eps ago, I’m a scavenger of death records alum that’s played in and toured in bands with ex/post/carbonas members, played with the homies crazy horse/hankwood in nyc, never caught your band brace but it’s likely we’ve slept on the same floors and played the same holes and punk houses across this the greatest country in the world…. I loved this story. John seems such a genuine dude that did it and made it work and is still doing it and I love the way he draws attention to how impossible it is to be in a band unless your committed to sleeping on floors and playing houses and doing it yourself, which you would think keeps only the people who who love it doing it and squeeze out those their for the money. It doesn’t. It makes our culture suck shit even more. Loved the update, loved the series, loved young chomps score, please do more like this and the synanon series… loved that shit too as an escapee of both narconon (L Ron Hubbards rehab hell) and insight the young peoples enthusiastic sobriety cult… you guys kick ass keep it up

I listened to this series last year while playing Yooka-Laylee on Saturdays on PS4. I guess I should start the sequel this Saturday?

I've been getting friend suggestions for John V. on fb for the last week - I suspect a tie-in.

Well that was cool listening to John Vanderslice, I couldn't listen to your previous conversation with him. glad his new album is out

Oliver Crane

I like that Van der Graaf Generator song about the big lonely fish

NYCM&AHole

If it’s about music and doesn’t involve death metal, I’m gonna take a pass on it. I am not an indie rock person.

Marcus

Bill Gates Must Die is such a great song.

Jude Brown

Great work everybody, wholesome content 💗

JV

what's that song near the end?

Sean

I would kill for a TA episode on the music industry, the economics of it are totally obscene. I stopped touring around the same time as JV and came to very similar conclusions, I would be shown budgets for much more successful bands and they were barely breaking even.

Shannon

john vanderslice is the only guest with the strength of conviction to admit that brace is funny
