I think that depends on the guest. Brace almost doesn't talk on episodes featuring Alexandra Scaggs, for example, since they deal with investing and money markets. Liz leaded the conversation with Ben Tarnoff too... So, yeah, it depends.

Some constructive feedback for what’s its worth: Don’t be afraid to challenge your guests even if they are celebrities. Azealia was instinctually contrarian - notice she argued almost every point or joke Brace made - fine, that’s her thing, it’s novel and kind of cool for a while. But when invited to actually put a flag in the sand of her own, she dodged every topic (didn’t want to go into conspiracies, Elon, music industry, etc). Everything to her was boring, negative, not worth talking about, etc. Fine but then why be so contrarian about every little point brought up by the hosts, if nothing truly matters? Again, at first I was into it, but by the end the combativeness seemed like more of a schtick/crutch for her to lean on while avoiding any meaningful commitment to a subject that went beyond surface level takes. Brace did his best to steer it but it ended up going in circles and felt very disjointed and meandering - the conversation needed more structure. And the vain quest to get laughter/gratification from Azealia was a bit cringe. I understand that she threw Brace off his game and he was leaning on humor to keep the interview moving - but the self-deprecation didn’t achieve anything and kind of just gave her an easy target. Rather, challenging her to go deeper on some controversial topics that she was reticent about, would have made the conversation much more intriguing and meaningful. Stand your ground when there is disagreement, rather than ceding the ground under the guise of playing jester, and that will lead to the kind of conversation people want to hear. For what it’s worth. All that said, much love to Brace and Liz you guys fucking rock and this episode was still legendary for the idea alone haha. Keep doing what you do <3

I felt that if the interview had some topic in which Azealia's perspective would be important, the whole thing would be good. But the topics they touched weren't really explored, it was just a random opinion, bad joke and move on.

I love Azealia’s music, but I could never stand her personality. She seems like a very sad and hurt person, with a lot of self-hatred that she projects onto other people. Calling random (non-famous) black girls tar babies and telling them to go pick cotton, liberal use of the word faggot, supporting the mexico border wall etc. I thought maybe I’d listen to this and change my mind. But honestly I couldn’t even finish it. Also why is she putting on some fake accent? I’ve never hear her speak like that. She comes off as very mean too. Idk, not a fan of this episode

Thought this was great (besides her sayin more power to Jeff Bezos). if you didn't like this it's probably cause you don't like acknowledging the bubble that we inhabit with liz and brace, that we cherish. Truth is we all want to change society but how? And wtf are we doing? A lot of just focus on our art. Wtf can we do? The situation seems helpless. Maybe we do need to start working manual labor jobs as Brace suggested before. We need direct action, of course. Or as Zizek says all we can do is "create space." True anon does that. I hope they keep doing stuff that divides us
