I haven't heard of a DSAer being knightes by Maduro but I know PSL and Code Pink recieved an honorary 'sword of bolivar' from Maduro. Since it was PSL who defended the embassy. Might want to look into that.

mr. true anon, I would like to put in a well-intentioned request for a generic audio tag on pod episodes. Simply “audio” or “pod” on all episodes and perhaps an “unlocked” or “gumshoes only” tag on patreon exclusives? It would make browsing for episode I haven’t heard yet miles easier. I have been thinking about this for days and simply had to get it out somehow. Thank you for another excellent episode. Regards, Natalie

The CIA 2002 coup against Chavez, which was reversed within 48hours, deserves a whole podcast of itself. Recommend watching John Pilgers documentary on the subject. As for the drone Attack against Maduro, from what I have been able to gather/remember it was a "suicide" drone bomb. However Maduros security team used jammers which meant the drone just stopped some distance from Maduro when it could no longer receive commands. It was then subsequently shot/detonated out of the sky by shotgun fire.
