When my partner and I visited Montreal, we dined at this high end restaurant and each got wasted off 9 glasses of wine. After dinner we went to Chinatown and ended up at this weird karaoke bar that had porn videos and almost every song was in Mandarin or Japanese so we ended up singing Creed and Cat Stevens. After karaoke, we were stumbling about Chinatown at 2am in a drunken stupor when I saw the Epoch Times headquarters. I thought at first I was hallucinating because I was so sauced but no, it was real, and I had to get a picture underneath the sign as proof to myself in the morning. I then proceeded to profusely vomit right in front of the door of the building. Thank you Montreal for an unforgettable night.

Ok not your fault for getting it wrong because almost everyone in the media outside of East Asia gets it wrong constantly but this one is not really that hard: if you just very naturally say “she gene ping” you are 95% there. My first day renting a room in the house she lived in, I saw the Swastika looking poster in her room as I entered. I think that the GameStop guy Keith Gill is just a fall guy. There’s a lot of weird activity/manipulation happening in the market right now. I follow a couple shitty solar penny stock companies that definitely aren’t meme stocks that are experiencing the same trajectories with these massive volatile swings. One of the companies swung up around 90,000% back in late 2020 / early 2021. In recent weeks, for the first time since early 2021, it has spiked around 200%. Something fishy is going on across the market and I think that this GameStop guy is just a scapegoat or face of something that is happening to distract people from something else going on. Idk what the hell is happening but it’s not just meme stocks.

I went back and listened to the rest of the episodes because I am a relatively new listener. I was recently unemployed after getting laid off when my old company got bought. During that time I interviewed for a Job at a fuel company In Buffalo in March 2024 because unemployment pointed me in that direction and I was desperate and it was solid pay. While I was in the waiting room i skimmed a brochure and chuckled because it said "Learn about China before Communism" and it had the same photo of that girl that you have on your first Falun Gong episode. You guys explained so much shit to me. I never got hired and I got the weirdest vibes during the interview. At one point during the interview they said "we had some ideological issues during covid and we have to rebuild a solid team." Strangest interview I have ever had. love the pod have a nice day yall.
