Expect some seams, similar to the vanilla game - which also has seams.

I made it for me because I absolutely hate the look of default bears, but at the same animals are usually in motion and they're usually gone from your screen in 10 seconds.

  • 4K, 2K, 1K options, compressed and uncompressed.
  • Uncompressed normal maps if you want to use compressed diffusemaps but don't want any occasional blockiness from normal map compression
  • Divercifies bear models (and sizes). This is done via meshes and a .esp plugin which you don't have to use
  • It also switches the "Cave Bear" and "Bear" coats, so the common "Bear" is a small black one, and "Cave Bear" is a big brown one (like a Grizzly bear, or Ursus spelaeus if you like)
  • If you don't like that change, just don't use the .esp\
  • Werebears are also retextured. Same 3 coats, made from the same photos, so you can bring some consistency into your game. 4K, 2K, 1K, compressed\uncompressed.

Note: The textures weren't swapped around so you can install just the texture folders and use it as a plain retexture. That way your game will continue to use default bear meshes with these new textures, and all of your bears will be the "right" (Bethesda-choice) color: Black "Cave Bears" and Brown common "Bears" instead of .esp changes. That also means that all bears will be the same size and use the same shape.

This mod is 110% free but you need to obtain permission to use and\or redistribute the contents of this archive as whole or as parts. No nexusmods or loverslab.

Sorry, no. You can re-save any simple (such as this mod's) .esp in Special Edition's Creation Kit to adapt it. Just open the CK, load the .esp, save.
