That I finally recided to do something about. Long story short: I hate default dragons, so I took the DLC one and mashed it around and about in OS until the model looked good. I added horns from another dragon and edited the UV in NifSkope slightly. The template, however, is not a good one, so the texture is 4Kx8K resolution to compensate.

Now I'm going to create a rough draft using photo references (and it's not going to be quick) of how and where and which scales are going to be. Then I will go through a manual process of overdrawing each scale.. because that's what I want to do. I want to do it by hand. However, I do need a realistic and sensible reference point to start.

You're not going to see any *actual* results in the next months, and I guarantee that. This is a project for myself, and I don't know how long it will take.
