So, I am currently making these new hands textures for vanilla based bodies\hands (so the default body, unp, unp tender hands, cbbe, dream girl, alt1 compatible - as always)

and I'm at this moment when I have barely started and I'm sitting here with these 3 little folders:

And each of these folders include (1) 4K diffusemap, (1) 2K normalmap and (1) 4K specularmap, saved in .tga

Together, they all are only 480MB.  So if I were to save them in .dds, obviously it would weigh less. And this is only the beginning (the basic "natural" nails).

The files necessary to create those 480MB are these:

And as you can see, they take 3.64GB or 3640MB. These include various files like nailshape .png that I use for everything related to these hands textures. various versions of the hand textures, overlays, etc.

So now I have the answer to a question nobody asked (including me).

Which is: to create 1 GB of textures, I need 7.583333333333333 times more space for it. So, 7.6-8GB of space!

Which seems almost accurate, but funny thing is: I actually need even more space than that. And since I have a 1000 and 1 project going on at the same time, it's no surprise I have almost no disk space.

As the title suggests, this is probably not what you signed up for! But I thought it was a little funny, and it's my Patreon, so I post it here. The screenshots are all the work files I had when working on ALT1: DEM (Eva & Lilith both) and on Dizona Body.
