Hello you handsome people,  so in the past weeks especially during the Christmas time, i spent a lot of dev work towards the 1.18 maps.  
But along the way I´ve found some issues and roadblocks, I'm unable to fix till programs is updated. The main issue is, Worldpainter and Amulet haven't been updated since early-mid December (because obviously Christmas and Silvester), and still have some unresolved issues, altho I´ve found some workarounds, some things can't be avoided, especially on bedrock sadly until they are fixed :/


  • Java:  I´ve managed to make the new 320 height playable and even got the -64 caves to work

  • Java:  Biome Blending is also working, as far as i can see, just as Mojang has intended
  • Java:  Continues procedural generation ✅



BEDROCK

Alright! That seems good, until we look at Bedrock

- 1.17 and before maps convert mostly* good and as expected
- Current 1.18 Maps cant consistently generate the -64 chunks and world blending does not correctly work on the latest maps, ironically.

The issue lies currently on the program to convert it over to Bedrock and leading to these issues, as of early January.

*Another issue comes with older maps that have some generated chunk, as I have been close to the map edge
