June Dormitory Diary Entry - Ura (Patreon)

Greetings from a chilly desk at the office.

This is Ura bundled in a jacket to protect against the office air conditioner (blowing directly on me). Here's my dormitory diary for June.

Not long ago, at the tail end of last month, I joined my fellow colleagues from the same hiring class and this year's new recruits for a shared meal. In contrast to last year, when we didn't begin these informal gatherings until around mid-summer, we've started much earlier this year.

Prior to this, I hadn't really connected with the new recruits, so the dinner provided a valuable opportunity to engage in various discussions. Seeing everyone immersed in lively conversation was truly uplifting.

On another note, I've recently begun to spend my weekends or Sundays at the house of one of our senior key animators. They’re quite a film enthusiast, so our time is mostly spent absorbing a wide variety of movies. Just yesterday, in anticipation of the new John Wick installment releasing in Japan this year, we did a marathon of John Wick 1 to 3, albeit we skimmed through the third. While the films' action scenes are undoubtedly thrilling, I found myself particularly drawn to the opening scene of the first film, which brilliantly portrays the lethal proficiency of John Wick simply through dialogue.

These movie and anime binge sessions often evolve into deep-dive discussions about each work, and before we realize it, the sun is coming up. This has become somewhat of a recurring pattern, but I must admit, it's thoroughly enjoyable.

こんにちは。

会社ではクーラーの風が僕の席に直接当たって寒いので、最近は上着を着て作業しています、浦です。

6月の寮生日記です。

先月の終わり頃、僕の同期と今年入った新人の皆でご飯を食べる機会がありました。去年は同期や先輩の方と集まってご飯を食べたりするのは7月〜8月になってようやくあったという感じだったのですが、今年は割と早めにできました。

新人の方々とはあまり話せていなかったので、この機会に色々な話ができたし、皆楽しそうに話していたので良かったです。

また、最近は週末や日曜日に原画の先輩の家に行って、映画やアニメを観たりしています。映画を大量に観ている方なので映画を見ることが多いです。昨日も、今年ジョン・ウィックの新作が日本で公開されるということで、ジョン・ウィックの1〜3(3は飛ばし飛ばしで)を観ました。アクション映画でアクションがカッコ良かったのですが、個人的には1の初めの方のシーンで、ジョン・ウィックがいかに「ヤバい」殺し屋であるかという事を語りだけで説明しているシーンが好きでした。

といった感じで何本も映画やアニメを観て、その作品について感想を言い合ったりしていると気づいたら朝になっている、という事が何度かありました。めちゃくちゃ楽しいです。
