January Dormitory Diary Entry - Ura (Patreon)

Hello, Ura here, and I got a fortune that said I’d have great luck this year. I apologize for being so late, but Happy New Year.

Here’s my dormitory diary entry for January.

I spent New Year back home watching movies and seeing my friends. They all seemed to be doing well. We had a lot to catch up on, and it was a nice change of pace. I understand now why talking to people you’ve known for a long time is so relaxing and easy. One of my friends is a barbers assistant, so they’re friends with a stylist, and they gave me a haircut. I hope they’re willing to do it again for me next time.

Anyway, as for my goals this year, I’m looking to spend more time practicing layouts and illustrating here soon. I drew a lot at the beginning of last year. Yet, halfway in, I only drew what I was already comfortable with. In the interest of becoming a key animator, I wanna get out of that comfort zone more. Specifically, I think I’m gonna start with some simple drawings and imitations regarding layouts.

今年は大吉が出るまでおみくじを引きました、浦です。だいぶ遅れてしまい申し訳ありませんが、あけましておめでとうございます。

1月の寮生日記です。

今年の年末年始は地元に帰って友達と会ったり、映画を見たりして過ごしました。地元の友達は皆元気そうで、色々話ができてとても気分転換になりました。やはり古くから知っている人に会って話すと落ち着きますね。中に1人、アシスタントですが美容師の友達がいて髪を切って貰いました。次また会ったら切って貰おうかなと思います。

さて、今年ですがそろそろレイアウトやクロッキーなどの絵の練習を増やしていきたいと思います。去年は初めの方は練習の絵を描いてはいたのですが、後半あたりからは自分の好きな絵しか描かなくなっていったので、原画に上がる為にも絵の練習をしていきたいです。特にレイアウトはあまり描けていないので、模写や簡単なものから始めていけたら良いなと思います。

2023年になりました。今年も何卒宜しくお願い致します。
