July Dormitory Diary Entry - Shimai (Patreon)

On Friday, I couldn’t help myself and went to the theaters to watch the new Dragon Ball Super movie and a Doraemon movie…! Let’s just say it was my cheat day.

Here are my thoughts:

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will have you on the edge of your seat with action scenes that are only possible with 3D. My mind and eyes were kept busy the whole time. It was also nice to see not just Goku, but Gohan and Piccolo take the spotlight for a change. Piccolo specifically had a lot of character which was amazing to see!

Sore Ike! Anpanman: Yousei Rinrin no Himitsu on the other hand made me remember a special charm that older anime had. I wouldn’t say that it felt too old though. It’s a much more fun watch if you’ve seen the previous shows/movies, and I appreciated that asa fan!

There was also a guest appearance by voice actress Keiko Kitagawa. She did an amazing job and was a great fit for her character.

Minoru Maeda, who’s been the animation director since the first film, is also one of my favorite animators...!

I was so excited to watch both movies that I ended up crashing for the next two days.

I’m of the opinion that a movie loses half its charm when seen outside of a movie theater, so I like to see a movie several times before it.

I’ve gotta work harder at my work so I can see more movies!

2022.07.04 Shimai Kyoko

いつもお世話になっております。島井です。7月の寮生日記になります。

全部の仕事が終わってから観ようと思っていた映画ドラゴンボール超と映画アンパンマンを、金曜日、我慢できずに見に行ってしまいました…！チートデイということにしておきます。

以下感想です。

｢ドラゴンボール超スーパーヒーロー」は手に汗握る展開と3Dならではのアクションで頭の中と目が忙しかったです。今回悟空じゃなく悟飯とピッコロさんが大活躍するというのが新鮮で、特にピッコロさんのいろんな表情が見られるところが最高でした！

｢それいけ！アンパンマン ドロリンとバケ～るカーニバル｣は原点回帰というか、ここ最近失われかけていたばいきんまんの脅威を思い出させてくれる良作でした。過去作品を見ている人なら倍楽しめる仕様になっていてそれもファンとしては嬉しかったです！ゲスト声優の北川景子さんのお声もとてもキャラクターにマッチしていて素敵でした。1作目からずっと作画監督をされている前田実さんは憧れのアニメーターの1人です…！

案の定興奮やら、徹夜後の2作品連続鑑賞コースで翌2日は体が使い物になりませんでした。2度目の鑑賞は最高のコンディションで向かいたいです。

映画は映画館以外で観たときに魅力が半減してしまうと思っているので気に入った映画は公開終了までに何度か見ておきたい派です。

映画を楽しく見るためにお仕事の方も頑張ろうと思います！では！
