May Dormitory Diary Entry - Sakamoto (Patreon)

Hello everyone. It’s Sakamoto.

This is my dormitory diary entry for May.

It’s been one month since I joined my studio, and my in-between/key tracing supervisor said that my drawings could be used on real projects. My speed has gotten faster too. While it took me 4 hours to draw one frame before, I can now draw that same frame in 2 hours.

After key tracing, I did blinking/mouth animation, compositing, and simple in-betweens. Now, I’m still doing simple in-betweens but on a bigger scale. Stuff like people turning around, all that jazz. I’m still slow (as in 2-3 frames per day), but I’m doing whatever I can during training to increase that number even just a little bit.

I’ve been studying folds recently which I’ve always had a hard time with. Specifically, I’m currently sketching arm folds. Focusing on one drawing one specific point makes certain concepts so much easier to understand.

My goal for this month is to master all of the concepts I’ve learned in training!

5月の寮生日記を投稿します！

入社してから1か月が経ち、原トレの線も動画検査の人に仕事で使える線になったと言っていただき、スピードも今まで1枚4時間かかっていた物も2時間半程で描けるようになってきました。

原トレの後は、目パチ口パクや合成や線割などをし、今は大きく動く中割や振り向きなどをしています。まだまだ手が遅く中割は1日２、３枚しか描けませんが、この研修中に少しでも枚数を増やせるように頑張っていこうと思います。

最近は苦手だったしわの勉強をしていて、今は腕のしわを特にスケッチしたりしています。やっぱり一か所を重点的に描くと分かりやすくて勉強になります。

5月中には研修内容を達成することを目標にして行きます！
