May Dormitory Diary Entry ー Aina Sugisawa (Patreon)

Good morning, this is Sugisawa.

Sorry for the delay, but here is my dormitory diary for May!

Recently, I had the chance to visit the post-production department and see some work get finalized. Even though our departments are all a part of the overall animation process, there’s so much I don’t know about these other sections. It was a great learning experience. I wanted to ask more questions and deepen my understanding, but I was too nervous to be forward about it. How frustrating! I'll take the knowledge I gained and apply it to my work. If I come across something I don’t understand, I’ll keep it in mind and try to resolve it in the future when the opportunity arises.

In May, I was so busy, even on weekends, that I didn’t have much time for self-study or my own projects. But since I’m here in Tokyo, I want to make sure I don’t miss out on any opportunities. Visiting the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum with other dormitory residents was a lot of fun, and I definitely want to go again.

おはようございます、杉澤です。
遅ればせながら5月の寮生日記です！
先日、スタジオ内の仕上げ工程の見学に行ってきました。同じアニメーションを作る制作工程でも、別セクションのことは知らないことばかり…大変勉強になりました。ほんとはもっともっとお話し聞いて、じっくり色々理解を深めたかったのですが、緊張してあまり図々しくはなれませんでした。悔しい！知識は持ち帰って実作業に反映し、わからないことが出てきたら、また今後どこかの機会で解消できるように日々懐に忍ばせていきたいと思います。
5月は週末も出ずっぱりで、自主学習などの制作の時間をあまり取れませんでした。でもせっかく東京に来たので、機会は逃さずいたいものです。他の寮生さんと一緒に東京たてもの園に行ったのはすごく楽しかったので、また行きたいです。
