Hi everyone!


Got some bits and pieces of Bindmancer development to show off this week. Let's get right into it!


New playable build next week:

A new build of the Bindmancer will be available Next Friday to Saturday on the 24th and 25th of Feb. It's the short month of the year so it's fair to get it out then. 


1: What's New?

This week I created some new art to update and replace the escaping animation for getting free of the golem. I think it works much better then the portal VFX:


I also added in a few niceties and bug fixes. Which include:

- The game no longer breaking if you complete level 5 and don't select a level manually in the level select screen.

- Starting a new game if you already have game data will bring up a warning screen.


- I also added a description for each section in the gallery if you've yet to obtain an entry in that part of the gallery. This both fills up a blank screen but also gives some context. These descriptions will vanish once you've obtained something in that section of the gallery.


And in addition to those also just spent some time fixing some minor bugs. Like the player character's eyes appearing when they shouldn't while stunned.


2: What's Next?

Next week will be the last week this month before I release a new build. So I think for next week I'll continue to focus on bug fixing, quality of life improvements, and improving animations where possible. 

After next weeks build release I'll be spending a few days making some media for a submission to an erotic online games expo. If my game gets through the application I'll talk more about it!

After that work, I want to start work on a few systems that should improve the feeling of the gameplay loop. In particular adding an experience and leveling-up system. 


Something big to look forward to!
