Hi all patrons and supporters, this is Moneko, and I have some important matters to discuss with all of you today.

Recently I have been receiving complaints about the lack of sharpness, or "blurriness" of 4K content when viewed on 4K monitors. With the help of some supporters, I have found out that I have been rendering and encoding 4K content in a way that is frowned upon without knowing so. The details are as below:

- The wrong way I have been doing: Render 1920*1080p in MMD viewport and encode the video to 4K under ~80K bitrate. While bitrate does somewhat determine the quality of the video, it makes the pixel stretched out and create blurriness when watched on 4K monitors.
- The correct way I will be doing from now on: Render 3840*2160 in MMD viewport and encode the video as its original resolution under ~80K bitrate.

I should say, my ignorance got the better of me and I took for granted that it is the correct way to render and encode 4K content. My lack of 4K monitor has been preventing me from visually noticing this problem, but that is not a good excuse I would make.

And so, I have made this post to send my apology to everyone who either has/had subscribed $15 tier or made/making commissions with me.

And here are my proposal as an attempt to compensate for this fault of mine:

- From now on (#r265 onwards), all content will be rendered and encoded the correct way, by that, even Full HD and HD content should also see an increase in quality.
- I will be receiving request to re-render all 4K versions from any of you, of any project ever since I started 4K distributing, and each week I will resolve at least 2 of them. If I don't receive any request to re-render, I will re-render 2 most recent projects that haven't been re-rendered.
- For commissioners, I will be receiving your request to re-render any commission I have made with you under the new setting.
- For anyone who is still not satisfied with the options above, you can request for refund and an amount of $5 will be refunded for each month you have joined $15 tier ($5 is the extra fee for 4K content in addition to the content of $10 tier). Please take notice that the refund request can take up to a month for me to process.

Again, I give you all my deepest apology. Really. I'm still learning and mistakes are meant to be made, but this is such a horrendous one that I don't know if I could compensate enough for it within my capabilities. I'm ashamed of myself for letting this happened, and that I have betrayed your trust for me.

That's all. And unrelated to that, at the end of this month, I will publicly release a detailed RayMMD tutorial with resources on how to re-create my RayMMD video style, called "Moneko Style".

I have the same opinion. I guess that re-rendering is very hard work, I hope you don't lose your new creative spirit. Take care!

While this is a very dumb mistake to make I appreciate your openness and sincere apology. Though the creation process had a flaw your works were still enjoyable to watch. I look forward to your new works and re-releases of old works.
