This episode is pretty much the entire season in a nutshell - a couple of amazing HOLY WHAT WAS THAT scenes, and a couple of "... what was that" scenes. I wish they nailed some of the basics better because it's super unfortunate to get pulled out of the show when it happens. Doesn't make the awesome scenes any less awesome though.

They did get Hayden for this series so that was him in the tank and in Obi Wan’s vision (the cloaked figure). I think Vader let Obi Wan go due to a few reasons. Vader was surprised at how disconnected from the Force Obi Wan was and how weak he had become. Also I think Vader wanted a proper fight and this wasn’t it. Vader has a need to prove himself to Obi Wan to show him…..look how powerful I’ve become. It’s Anakins ego to show his former Master…….look what I can do. It’s still Anakin inside and he still feels the need to prove himself. So yeah in my opinion he let him go.

Yea they brought Hayden back to play vader In this series and the scene where Vader Is getting suited up and when Obi wan sees Anakin from far was him

George was adamant that Obiwan should never meet Vader EVER until a new hope. This would make it important for when he fights him later and dies by his hand. So there's another wish George had and they broke it. So yeah I'm still upset. They could have done better. In fact I'm working on making my own version of this show you've seen my work on Discord. I just added some youngling scenes and the grand inquisitor going to the darkside

This show is so easy to pick apart, it’s laughable. Why did Obi-Wan blast the laser gate when he could have walked around it? Why does he only have 3 burn wounds from being in literal fire for an extended period of time? Why does Vader not use the force to a) force pull Tara or b) force pull Obi or c) get rid of the fire again? How does the turd sister get in front of a one way tunnel which she had no idea where it would lead? Why does Obi-Wan take commands from a 10 year old? If the stormtroopers are looking for a Jedi, why do they not know how he looks like even though last episode showed his wanted picture everywhere? Why does Obi-Wan lay down arms when the second batch of Stormtroopers arrive? He still had a lightsaber and also he just blasted just as many troopers. Why does Tara think it’s smart to leave a 10 year old girl alone after Obi-Wan asks her to look after her?

If Obi Wan knew about Vader's survival after their fight in Mustafar... that's dependent on just how closely he was following galactic affairs while on Tatooine. He may not have WANTED to keep up with it, hear about the Empire crushing the innocent, etc. Just kept his focus on watching Luke, keeping his head down. Obi Wan's analogy of the Force making one feel safe would work for Light or Dark (great, now I'm thinking about turkey). I think it's in reference to the sense of security one would get from having the power of the Force as their ally. Whether you're allied to the Light or Dark, you've got a nearly insurmountable advantage over basically anybody or anything else in the room. Now if you're allied to the Giblets? Probably best not to go there.

These are basically all valid criticisms but I’ve always found the laser gate criticism so dumb. All you have to do is look at it and it’s pretty obvious that it would be much faster to shoot through it than walk around

Vader was Just Toying with Obi-Wan. Vader has a thing for toying with people he doesn’t think are his match . Rewatch his ESB fight with Luke and you’ll see him switching between him toying around and then being dead ass serious when Luke Starts to prove he’s not one to be toyed with.

You mentioned wanting to see tributes. I think a lot of us fans would really love it if you would react to "the chosen one" by hfp. It's the best tribute to aanakin out there and contains no stuff you haven't seen!

I’m constantly surprised you are never spoiled by behind the scenes news because a lot of things you asked like Hayden coming back was common knowledge from day 1 of the show being announced

I actually find all these criticisms stupid or small. So many, alone, are probably continuity things. (Just my opinion). I can give an answer for each one. At least based on how I see them

They couldn't even get fire right in this show. What does fire do when it burns someone? That's right, it spreads all over a person. I.e Anakin. What does a person do when they get burned by something? That's right, they pull away looking back at Nari in episode 1 who just stood there and took it. Sigh... Common sense and no that's not gatekeeping. Every work George did he tried to do a bit of logic in his storytelling that you have expressed Primate. You don't leave an unstable person to sit and think on those bad thoughts.

That's Maul's thing. Do you honestly think Anakin toys around? Even as Vader the notion of playing with your pray is enjoyment in their suffering. Vader hates himself as much as he hates Obiwan and blames him for EVERYTHING. That kind of mentality is filled with nothing, an empty void of hate that only spreads throughout the galaxy. To quote Vader himself "This is not living."

It’s clear that his history with Obi-Wan made Vader very disappointed that he wasn’t the same Jedi master. They made it pretty clear that Vader simply didn’t think he was worth killing at the moment. Especially because it’s Obi-Wan, Vader wants a fight.

The proof is in the duel with Luke my friend. He starts 1 handed with him until Luke pushes him off the carbon chamber. Then he throws things at Skywalker just toying around . Stepping it up throughout various stages when Luke proves he’s not one to toy with . There’s obvious intensity changes with Darth Vader I can’t believe someone like you whose proven their SW IQ in previous reactions haven’t realized it.
