One of my favorite movies. It had the coolest marketing campaign I’ve ever seen for a film, I’ll never forget it. It was kept completely under wraps during production and the first teaser was shown before screenings of Transformers in 2007. The teaser was short and very ominous, showing something attacking NY and a release date, but no name. I vividly remember people in my theater being freaked out and intrigued, myself included. Leading up to the release there was also a secret website rabbit-hole that gave some vague info about the plot. Everyone was so hyped to finally watch this mystery movie and it did not disappoint. Cult classic for sure! You should check out to its indirect sequel 10 Cloverfield Lane. Don’t bother with The Cloverfield Paradox. I believe a direct sequel to the original 2008 film is in production
