Never left one of those long ass comments before but now seems like the time to do it, so here's some fun facts about this episode (no spoilers obv). Balerion the black dread (Aegon's dragon) was still alive when Viserys was born, and Viserys was actually the last person to ride him. After his death, Viserys never rode another dragon. That's why he talks about him like an old friend. The Iron Throne is incredibly uncomfortable to sit on by design because Aegon thought that a king should never sit easy. There's a bunch of sharp edges still and being cut by the throne is seen as a bad omen for a king. That's why Otto Hightower tells the Maestor to keep it quiet. Also notice how all the cuts are on Viserys' left and when Daemon sits on the throne, he leans to the right as if he instinctively knows how to sit the throne better than his brother does. As you guessed, he gold cloaks are the same as the city watch. It was Daemon who gave them their cloaks, which started that name. Lastly, Daemon wields the Valyrian steel sword "Dark Sister" and the sword Viserys holds at the end is Blackfyre, Aegon's sword. Criston Cole was smart asf to use a mace to fight Daemon, as regular swords don't hold up against Valyrian steel. Incredible start to the show, episode 2 drops in a few hours. The wound in Viserys back is just an infected cut. If you get cut while the Iron Throne it means you’re not supposed to be king. Bronn and Janos Slynt were both captains of the city watch (Gold Cloaks). I think Queen Aemma was going to die even if they didn’t do the c-section. The dream Aegon had just proved that Jon was supposed to kill the Night King and rule Westeros. Jon “Aegon Targaryen” Snow was literally fire and ice.

Yeah it was hard to decide what to put in this and what to leave out. Felt like when discussing AoT lore with anime onlys.
