New Full Length Censoring (Patreon)

Working on finding a happy middle ground for everyone with the new censoring guys. I 100% understand wanting no blocks on the video but I need to protect my self from copyright as well. Going forward there won’t be any pitch shift to the audio and I’ll adjust the bars to black instead of gray as requested and I’ll try my best to make them a bit smaller while still protecting myself as well. At the end of the day I’m trying to protect my self while still making you guys happy! Bear with me over the next week while we adjust!

You can always go the way of giving us 10-20 seconds of footage so we can sync up with our own content if this way doesn't work out.

Do whatever you have to Primate, it's better to have a slightly censored video than nothing at all and we appreciate the lengths you go to to provide that for us!

Do whatever you have to do man, I just enjoyed your Jurrasic park 2 reaction while steaming my own version of the movie synced up with your reaction. You can always go back to giving us a little bit to sync our own version up and cutting it just your reaction. But I understand some might not be able to dual stream

Thanks Prime!! Hey do blur strips exist? Maybe that would be a solution that would be easier on the eyes than the gray bar. Or just make them black again. Truthfully I almost began to stop noticing the black bars being there! XD

Don’t worry Primate, copyright is a bitch! I personally haven’t minded the censorship that much, I prefer it this way to synching up my own content.

The pitch shift was the problem. I couldnt even open up the epsiode on my own since your sound was in the backround. The bars are"okey"

The one other Patreon I pay for full reactions on doesn't include the audio at all and blurs the video.

the pitch change is a massive problem, sir davos sounds like hes in witness protection and if the bars could be more transparent too

Your content is always transformative enough that no matter what anyone else says, I will always consider you legit and fair use. Imagine taking a reaction channel job seriously and take notes on each show and movie and often have meaningful discussion about themes of shows and movies and treat everyone with respect regardless what their opinion of said show and movie is... Now you don't have to imagine because ItsAPrimate exists.

From what I can see a lot of people are switching to google drive and Onehub rather than Vimeo.

Just go back to the previous form of censoring you had prior to the Jurassic Park censoring method with the big grey bars and pitch shift, the way you had it before was working fine, didn't need to change it.

Just add a timer and only have your volume so we sync it with our own copy, This current option is completely unwatchable

I don’t know why you don’t just blur out the whole video like everyone does

One method you can try, that seems to work really well is to "dim" the video with a black overlay and place one of the bars in the middle. Search up, "Coach Donny Haikyuu Episode 1" on YouTube, and choose a random point (just in case you haven't seen the show and plan to react to it in the future). The method seems to work well since he reacts to the entire episode (but he actually pauses and rewinds and talks and analyzes it since he's a volleyball coach). Personally, I don't mind the new format video wise, I just prefer the bars to be black. It was only the audio pitching that I didn't like. But picture wise I was fine with it.

A newer method that Coach Donny seems to use is instead of dimming the screen with a black overlay, he makes the video semi transparent with a bar in the middle. You can see his newest reaction video, and again choose a random point so you don't get spoiled too much. You can take a picture of your setup, without you in frame, and use that as the background behind the transparent video.

Because im trying to make it easy for everyone while still being copyright safe being as some people dont have access to two screens to sync up the show :/

I think the video is fine, but the change in the audio is a problem, because then even with your own copy you can't really watch along, we can't mute just the audio from the show and still hear you, and we can't watch our own copy that has normal audio because the audio in your video is distorted. If you need to change the audio, it would be better to mute the whole thing from the movie/ show except for your reaction so we can use the audio from our own copy for the show to watch along

Honestly, just put the full length reactions on Vimeo, Google Drive, etc, like other reactors do. This unwatchable censoring is just going to lead to more and more people unsubscribing.
