If you are wondering why Wolf was in command of the USS Defiant, He Transferred to Deep Space 9 after Star Trek Generations, The USS Defiant was introduced in Season 3 of Deep Space Nine and Wolf joins the DS9 Crew in the first episode of Season 4. The Defiant was originally built to fight the Borg. The writers had to come up with ways for Wolf to be with the Enterprise crew for the remaining TNG Movies while he was still a character on Deep Space Nine.
