As someone who writes about time shenanigans all the time i really like this movie. The thought that skynet was actually on the losing end for so long that it had to come up with new scenarios every time to try and get going in the past to work that it eventually came to the conclusion of, send John back and have him create itself. If it managed to hit the same timeline over and over every time he gets sent back skynet is upgraded and becomes more effective. At least thats how i like to see it. I think the problem is people take this series way too seriously when its just a big dumb action franchise. Its also not jard to imagine that when dealing with time travel events are gonna play out a little differently in ever itteration

I feel the whole casting of Terminator Genesys was poor. And the story and script doesnt work for me. I like the idea but it wont work. And it was too over complicated. there was some good action scenes but Terminator 1 and 2 are easily the best then T4. 5 and 6 are definitely the worse.
