I remembered watching this and throughout the entire wedding I kept having this sense of discomfort like there was something wrong, things were handled way to easy and wanted it to end just end the wedding already and it hurts even more knowing that Robb and his mom died cause Robb was 1 of my favorite characters in GOT and I was also personally hoping that sooner or later the whole Stark family (I don't care if he's a snow I consider Jon as a Stark) could just see each other together 1 last time

Catelyn Stark knew something was wrong the moment they started playing The Rains of Castamere. It depicts how House Reyne was murdered by House Lannister. Nobody really plays it unless they idolize Tywin or align with his house. It was a giveaway that something bad was about to happen. House Reyne is the same family Cersei warned Margaery about the previous episode, so to see it come full circle was crazy.

Horrible mistakes by Rob 1) Breaking his promise to marry Frey's daughter and 2) Killing Lord Karstark. These two decisions directly influenced this episodes events.

This is episode and that scene, the red wedding, is the reason reaction videos got popular on YouTube. People would film their reactions to it at the time. This is where GOT became the ultimate show and broke mainstream.

The song was actually played in parts throught out season 2 and 3 every time in relation to the Lannisters. I can recognize this now because I heard the song so much.

This was the episode that forced me to buy the books. I was at a loss or words that Robb would go out like that. It’s the first of 3 wtf moments that happens in this show for me

I really didn't think you'd get to this point without it being spoiled. So glad you did. What a truly bizarre episode. I remember reading it in the books for first time. I had just got over shock of Ned Starks death and got hit with this.
