So yes they had a sinister six movie planned after this and 2 more spiderman films. There was so much potential but I remember at the time everyone hating this movie for how many villains , people said the story was all over the place and such. I personally love these 2 movies and i hope andrew gets a shot in a live action into the spider verse. He really loved the character and it showed in interviews there was so much hate against him as spiderman tho because of how old he was they made a fake article about him wanting spiderman to be gay, so that the general public just wouldn’t like him as spiderman. Sony also kept wanting to interfere with the story and so the director left and they just scrapped the whole thing to make a deal with marvel to give us tom holland. They did andrew dirty , man.

Also, why everyone is excited is because Jamie Fox's electro is casted in Tom Holland's 3rd Spiderman movie so speculation is that Andrew & Toby will appear due to the multiverse introduced in Far From Home by Mysterio. Doctor Strange is also in the movie so he's the key to opening portals to other dimensions... We're set to see the Sinister Six eventually with Vulture, Scorpion, Electro, Mysterio, maybe Tom Hardy's Venom and someone else. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT MAN

MJ was original in a scene in this film but they cut it and decided to introduce her in the 3rd one but as we know that movie never came to be
