The worms aren't actually connected to the Queen's mind. They just are a parasitic hivemind, and Queen Karina the Great did die in the cave-in, I just wish they made it more obvious that she died. RIP Trap and the two pilots, but at least everyone else other than those 3 survived.

One of the things I love about Clone Wars is that it shows Anakin's gradual turn to the dark side over time. I think this is the first time we ever see Anakin Force Choke somebody, which is one of Vader's favorite things to do. You can hear the Imperial March (Vader's theme) playing in that scene. And ironically, Poggle doesn't ultimately escape Anakin as he is one of the Separatist leaders Anakin kills (along with the Viceroy) in Revenge of the Sith just before the duel with Obi-Wan.

"I kinda like dark Anakin. If only he had stayed good." Unfortunately that was never gonna happen. That's how the dark side works. It's a slippery slope. It was only a matter of time. It starts with you choking a bad guy to help the pepple you care about, ends with choking your pregnant wife, murdering a bunch of children, and blowing up a planet. Can't have it both ways :(

Soo a little fun fact: Barris was born around 40 BBY. That makes her 18 years at the start of the Clone Wars, while Ahsoka was only 14. So Barriss is actually closer to Anakin in age, with him being only 19 :) (Just 22 when he became Vader :o )
