This is my favorite Star Wars movie

Can’t wait too see my boi’s reaction to the Emperor lol. Also the Emperor was also resurrected in the old Star Wars Expanded Universe (now Legends). Seeing how he was obsessed with cheating death, it makes sense that he had some sort of backup plan in case he was killed like he was by Vader. And it isn’t explained in the movie but he is in a clone body. His spirit survived, but his original body didn’t. And the dark side is causing the clone body to decay rapidly.

If you really want a full understanding into every star wars movies read the cannon books that go with them and you’ll understand everything or just watch Star Wars explained videos

This movie absolutely makes no fucking sense. This movie is not as shitty as the last Jedi is, but it’s still shit. This movie felt fucking rushed, like it tried to cram 2 movies into 1. JJ Abrahams, not only had to correct what RiAn Johnson fucked up in the last Jedi, but he had to wrap up the whole saga. Along with that, he brought a lot of crap into the movie too. To find one thing, you gotta find another thing, and then find another thing, and then find another thing. It felt like a fucking video game! Normally, when there’s a Star Wars movie, first thing it explains what is going on. In this movie I did not know what the fuck was going on, specially with Kylo when he was murdering everyone. What planet was he at? Then we see a sith way finder. What the fuck is that shit? We’ve never been introduced to that before. So, we find out Palpatine is alive. What in the fucking fuck?!! Bringing Palpatine back was stupid. How the fuck did he survive? What’s their explanation? Sith cloning, “the dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities, some considered to be unnatural”... okay, can we get more explanation please? Nope! Don’t fucking steal a line from one of the best Star Wars movies to back up your unexplainable shit! Also, if Palpatine was cloned in some fucking way, shouldn’t he look like a normal human being? From what I remember, Sidious got his ugly face because windu deflected the lightning back. Am I right or am I right? Palpatine returning fucking destroys the chosen one prophecy. Anakin destroyed the Sith back in episode 6, with that, proving he was the chosen one. But now that the Sith are alive, anakin died in vain!! For what?? 30 years of fucking peace? Fuck that! Last movie, Luke is was a coward. He left everything because he failed Ben, to me that’s a pretty shitty reason, but whatever. Lando says that Luke tried to find Sidious, but without success. The point is, he knew Sidious was alive. Why the fuck didn’t Luke tell this to Rey, or to anyone? At the start we see Poe and Finn lightskipping planets. How did they not hit a planet without precise calculations? If it’s that easy, why didn’t Han perform this in a New Hope? Again, Rey is a Mary Sue. She has been a Mary Sue the entire fucking trilogy. Not once does she ever lose. Why? Because of Disney’s fucking feminist agenda. We see Rey training in the Endor looking planet? Why does she train? She’s a Mary Sue already. Mary Sues don’t require training. I know jj Abrams tried to address the Mary Sue problem, but it was too fucking late. He should’ve put that shit in the Force awakens. We then learn that Rey is Palpatine’s granddaughter. Alright, but we don’t get any kind of explanation, like, who the emperor banged. But later, he says that he needed someone to transfer his spirit. Why the fuck didn’t he use his son? So, can someone please explain to me how the fuck the Death Star wreckage was fucking intact?! If I remember correctly, that shit blew up in episode 6! Even the emperor’s throne was looking in great fucking shape! Later Ben takes off in a fighter. That fighter survived the Death Star explosion? What a bunch of bullshit. We see Rey force healing that big ass snake, and then she force heals Kylo. Also, at the end, Ben force heals Rey. Ex fucking cuse me! What the fuck did I just witness??!! Now there’s force healing!? What a fucking plothole! If that’s the case, why didn’t Luke heal Anakin? Why didn’t obi wan heal Qui Gon? Why didn’t Obi wan heal Padme? Like seriously, force healing is fucking stupid. Finn is useless in this movie. All he does is yell, “Rey!”. What a wasted character.. I really like the fact that the skywalker lightsaber is back. For fucks sake, it deserves a better ending than the one it got in the last Jedi. We see Luke. Alright, cool! What I don’t like is he taking the lightsaber. Force ghosts should not affect the physical world. The lightsaber battle between Rey and Kylo was ass, like the rest of the entire sequel trilogy. So, regarding Ben’s redemption, very fucking cool, I mean, I already saw that coming but ok. Having Han back was great. But in addition, I wish Anakin appeared to Ben. Like fuck! It would’ve been so much better. So, about those Sith holocrones, way finder, what ever the fuck it is, 2 were made. Kylo destroyed one of them, and Rey took the other one. So how the fuck does he go back to exegol? Does he really remember how to get there? So, when Mary Sue and Ben face palpatine, I guess teleportation is now a thing, right? Also, palpatine says to Rey that if she kills him, his spirit will go into her, or some shit like that. So, after that, what the fuck exactly happens? She fucking kills palpatine, why hasn’t his spirit gone into her? That line where he’s like “ I am all the sith”, and rey says “ and I am all the jedi”, bitch, that dialogue right there was worse than Anakin/ Padme love scene in attack of the clones. Like that, she fucking kills Palpatine. Rey went from being a scavanger in Jakku to killing one of the most powerful sith with little or no training. Fucking dogshit! Let’s break this down. Rey killed the sith. So, is Rey the chosen one? Fuck that bitch! No one replacing my boy Anakin. As stated in previous movies, Anakin is the chosen one. This movie just takes a big shit on what the other movies have established. To make at least, a little bit of sense, couldn’t Ben have killed Palpatine?! At least make it to where one of Anakin’s descendants (Like Ben Skywalker) is the real chosen one! Oh shit I forgot, feminist agenda comes first! So yeah, Sidious dies, Ben and Rey kiss, and Ben dies, becoming one with the force. It goes okay from there, until we see Rey burying Anakin’s and Leia’s lightsabers. The idea is very fucking cool! A nice ending to the skywalker lightsabers. Just the execution was quite, chatastrophic. Rey buries the sabers in tatooine, a planet that both Luke and Anakin did not like. Bad things happened in this planet. Also, as stated by episode 2, Anakin hates sand. Where does Rey bury the sabers? In fucking sand! JJ abrams, did you watch the prequels? You motherfucker!! So when that old lady shows up from fucking nowhere, she asks who Rey is. Rey looks out far and sees Luke and Leia. Where the fuck is Ben??!! When Luke saw the ghosts in episode 6, not only did he see Obi Wan and Yoda’s ghosts, but he saw the redeemed Anakin. Why is Ben not here? So, then she responds, “Rey Skywalker”. You fucking bitch! She’s a fucking palpatine, and she takes the name skywalker! What a fucking disrespect! It’s treason!! She could’ve said, “ Rey, just Rey.” Letting the past die. But calling herself Skywalker, was a little too far. Overall, this movie is trash.

Star Wars Episode 9: Somehow Palpatine is back and he has a backup army hidden under the snow "just in case"

zell

I think the emperor is supposed to be a clone or something which is how he is a alive, but I don't know if that is a better reason than him miraculously surviving.

Anonymous

I really enjoyed this film. Was it the best Star Wars movie? No... but it at least felt like a Star Wars "Skywalker" movie. I know a lot of people complained about the over done fan service in this film. Its the last movie in the Skywalker Saga... of course its going to be filled with fan service. This is the film to have all that. Personally I would have handled this new Trilogy different if it was me pulling the strings, but it wasn't. Ultimately I enjoyed this trilogy. It is far from perfect, but still enjoyable.

Anonymous

@ItsAPrimate, will you be watching the Mandalorian on Disney+?

The Montreal Colombiano

Overall to me, it's a good popcorn flick but nothing great, just fan service with a few explanation and the missed opportunities are just out of this world. 7/10 for me

Great reaction!! A couple of things first palpatine is a clone should of been revealed in the movie and not the novel but whatever Second and it's ok if you disagree but bringing palpatine back to me doesn't make what Anakin did any less relevant. He brought balance for 30 years more or less it was always gonna go out of balance and someone had to maintain it. Ultimately Anakin's arc wasn't about killing palpatine it was about saving Luke. And by doing that Luke and Leia helped train Rey. Helped Ben turn back to the light and he assisted Rey in the final fight against Palpatine. Anakin had huge relevancy and importance to this movie even if he doesn't appear physically. Also side note. I don't know if you caught it primate but in the scene with the Jedi of the past talking to Rey. The Jedi who said ” Bring back the balance Rey as I did" that was Anakin voiced by Hayden Christensen again from the prequels which I loved that because Anakin is my favourite character of all these films Sorry for the long post but one last thing Ben Solo is awesome. What i find so incredible about these new films is that they take a guy who kills Han Fucking Solo. And they made me care and want his redemption and I was sad when he died but I am ultimately happy with his end. He has become one of my favourite characters as well. Alot of it is to do with Adam driver who is one of my favourite actors working today. That Han and Ben scene in this movie killed me it was so good!!!!

Man I just fucking LOVE this movie. I am SO glad you liked it, its in my top 5. Something which goes over people’s heads is that Finn wasn’t trying to tell Rey he’s in love with her, he was trying to tell her he’s force sensitive. It’s evident throughout the whole movie, especially when he senses Rey’s ‘death’. Palpatine coming back shouldn’t really be a surprise because he’s always hinted towards cheating death., That line he said to Kylo about abilities from the dark side being unatural is taken DIRECTLY from revenge of the Sith. I thought Rey being a Palpatine was a great twist, she’s always had that anger and seeing her use force lightning for the first time blew me away in the theatre. Palpatine’s always been the big bad villain and it’s been confirmed the body he was in was just a clone which is why technically he did die when Vader threw him, he just transferred his soul, stayed in the shadows pulling the strings but was obviously much weaker as you can see. I can see why him coming back was unpredictable, I do feel I they had hinted it in The Last Jedi it would have helped the build up. Rey is NOT the chosen one and this actually doesn’t take away anything from Anakin’s legacy as he DID bring balance to the force because he did ‘kill’ Palpatine. But that’s not to say that the force can’t be unbalanced once again. One thing I do want to say is this definitely felt like Rey’s movie. It was set a` year after the previous and I really felt we learnt so much about her, her abilities. And it’s no suprise that she could defeat Palpatine and heal and stuff like she had the Jedi text, both Luke and Leia as mentors at one point and now even the Jedi’s speaking to her.

Anonymous

ALSO Leia's death is so emotional for multiple reasons. The actress who played her actually passed away after the filming of The Last Jedi and so her death was almost an emotional goodbye for all us Star Wars fans. The director had to use past deleted scenes from Ep. 7 to create her scenes in this movie.

Kevin

This movie was such a let down. Definitely in my bottom three, along with Episode 1 and 2.

Anonymous

Even if Palpatine came back, Anakin is still the Chosen One. He still saved Luke from death and in turn, Luke helped Rey keep the Sith from returning. Because the Sith didn’t completely return 100%. Rey had to kill Palpatine like he wanted for it to happen. And Anakin did say “Bring back the balance, like I did”. So Rey really just maintained the balance.

Anonymous

thankyou. I feel like its better that he reads comments like this with actual evidence that it's not so ridiculous that Palpatine cheated death rather than comments of people saying they hated his coming back even tho it was perfectly reasonable that he did

Anonymous

don’t let all these comments influence your opinion lol! i enjoyed it too actually so... also what finn was gonna say to rey was that he was force sensitive

Anonymous

Well said only thing I would say is to me this movie was Rey's and Ben's. To me the force awakens was Rey's movie, the last Jedi was Ben's and this one belonged to both of them

Sabrina Sibosado

Your face when seeing the emperor was how I think everyone felt! 😂 like what the fuck is this shit 😐 Overall I really enjoyed this movie (way better then TLJ), Some great action and call backs to the previous trilogies. I cried so much in the cinema got me all in the feels 😂 Again kylo/Ben had a great storyline loved his redemption. Adam driver was brilliant. Rey being a palpatine I can get onboard with, gives some explanation to why she has a strong force power and all that. Probably my fave performance of hers. Finn was such a missed opportunity for a great character I honestly think he got fucked over by just running and yelling Rey every movie. I did like they gave him some development and sense of belonging. Side note though why set up a whole love story with Rose and not continue it at all?? Makes TLJ plot line even more of a waste. I think the start felt a little cramped purely from trying to correct the errors from the last movie aswell as setting up for completing the saga but not a big complaint. Great ending to the saga 👌🏾

Paris Hardy

Now that the sequels are finished, My biggest issue is that Finn should have been a Jedi. Imagine if in 8, Finn had also gone to receive training . Imagine if Rey, Finn, & Ben stood together against Palpatine. They should have had a plan going in. 7 was a great return, 8 was an interesting departure, but there was no consistency. 7 & 9 feel more directly connected. Either way, they needed to have mapped out where the story was going.

Tony Tenser

Yeah i never thought i could feel so much emotion for Ben in this movie after he had killed his father but this movie helped me do that. The scene with him and Han really hit me hard and was incredibly emotional.

Anonymous

WHILST this movie may be rushed there's reasoning. TLJ fucked up alot and wasted alot of valuable time that they could have used to set up this movie. Second, they had to close out a 43 year saga which isn't an easy task and considering all that they had left, they did a pretty good job even without the late Carrie Fisher. they managed to bring so many legacy characters back in this one and you hear FUCKINGGG ANAKIN like wow I got chills.

Tony Tenser

The voices of the Jedi scene really gave me chills too. It's great to hear in a theater with a good sound system as it sounds like they're all around you. Though ironically there are still people who don't get that its the past Jedi that help Rey defeat Palpatine which really baffles me.

Adrian

I really like that they used so many actors from the original trilogy for that (Han, Luke, Leia, Lando, Palpatine, C-3PO and some side characters like Wedge Antilles), even if the characters are dead. The actor of Leia died before they made the film, so they had to use unused material of the previous movies for her scenes. I think they made a good job with that.

Adrian

You can even hear the voice of Alec Guinness (Ben Kenobi from Episode IV).

Mara Smith

So yes palpatine didn’t die.

Anonymous

I mean how cool is it that Palpatine's own flesh and blood, heir to the Sith throne destroyed him and his army whilst taking the Skywalker name. It's such a full circle concept when you think about how Anakin was the chosen one, a Skywalker who ended up being the fall of the jedi. Like Luke says, 'some things are stronger than blood'. The movie sends us the message that we choose our own destiny.

Tony Tenser

Yeah that's another reason i love this movie, it really DOES make sense and is very powerful.

Wolfimann

A info for you in the Canon rise of Skywalker expendet book they explain that Palpatine in ep 9 was only a clone and transfer his spirit in a neu Body. So with that to know he is technically die in a way, but in Legend what the old Canon so the old Lore is it happend the same way so technically he olways was not completley Death, but in a way he did die in EP6.

Koala Banana

It's so bad. Being a Jedi has never been about having the past Jedi "with you." But it was the whole theme of this film. It's the complete opposite of the previous film. Totally undermines everything Yoda said to Luke. Also, Palpatine just electrocutes himself to death? All Rey had to do was hold a couple sabers in front of him and he kills himself? What absolute nonsense. Ben dying was horrible, he totally should have lived.

MrPeran

You gotta react to the "StarWars How It Shold Have Ended" Funny as shit

MrPeran

Yeah and he did bring balance to the force but no one said anything about balance forever and ever! I liked that palpatine was back it gave the movie som spice.

Anonymous

Koala Banana, at least we can agree this movie was a complete mess. What would be your ranking of the 11 Star Wars movies?

Daniel R

The whole movie is supposed to be about not being afraid of who you are but at the end Rey calls herself a Skywalker. Like... fuck off

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker(TROS) December 20, 2019 Pros: This movie had a great beginning showing us that Emperor Palpatine is still alive and has been pulling the strings from the beginning. This movie also had a great final act and final fight with Rey and Kylo and Rey who we find out IS A PALPATINE which has been speculated but now it’s true. We also get the turning point with Kylo coming back from the dark after Leia reaches out to him, he is now a Jedi(kinda) like his grandfather before did. This movie also had a great story and we finally figure out who Rey’s parents were. We also have a good story with the resistance fighters going to Exagol showing us how many people really are there to fight against the Final Order. We also get Lando back which was fun to see and we see Rey shoot lighting which is only the third character in the whole series to do this in the 9 movie saga. And at the end Rey finally gets her own lightsaber and it’s yellow. And in the final act we get the voices of past Jedi talking to Rey helping her win. Cons: The only con I can really think of is they didn’t give us enough at least I’m the movie on how Palpatine came back but it’s in the book so it’s fine. Also even though Rose had a small part it was annoying. Also it shouldn’t have been Han that talked Ben to the light as a memory, it should’ve been Anikan Skywalker instead as a force ghost. Conslusion: “The Rise of Skywalker” takes place roughly one year after “The Last Jedi” which gives Rey just enough time to learn about the force from Leia and do her own lightsaber training. Now the fight between Rey and Kylo is perfect. This fight shows us that Kylo is still very well stronger then Rey because he was dominating and pushing back then entire time and only lost because Leia finally got through to him and turned him to the light side and they Rey stabbed him at a very lucky time. Now some people say the fighting is slow and sloppy but no shit people. Rey wasn’t taught how to use a saber by Luke and I doubt Leia remembered how to use a saber and she was way to old to really show how to use it and Leia had learned from Luke who also wasn’t really taught to use a saber like the Jedi masters of the republic so yea it’s going to be different and Kylo probably didn’t get that much saber training after his years as Luke’s student so he isn’t going to have an amazing form either so the fight it fine and perfect. Another thing is, is that Rey didn’t really beat Palpatine by herself making her not overpowered. She had a lot of old Jedi masters giving her there power and she used her own power, so much so that she was barely hanging on to life when she won. We also learn that Palpatine created Snoke to influence Kylo. And also throughout the movie and same with TFA we learn that Finn is very force sensitive and that is what he was going to tell Rey in the sinking pits. Overall this was nearly a perfect movie and I’d give it a 9.5/10

Ryu Kobushi

Supposedly, Disney has been inspired by DC's Snyder Cut, so they are doing a JJ cut of The Last Jedi and a new cut of The Rise of Skywalker. And Steven Spielberg is in talks to play a major role in helping to fix both.

DAWG, pls watch the Mandalorian on Disney+. Best Star Wars show

U should rewatch the mcu with your girlfriend. Marvel movies are amazing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHr9QI__I60 A much better ending to the movie, way more emotion behind something a fan made.

Chandler Petty

The entire sequel trilogy feels like a long, high budget, fan film. They don’t actually fit in with the other 6 imo

Anonymous

loooool what, the whole movie is about choosing your own path despite your bloodline.

Anonymous

I agree with almost everything you said except for the con. Han should have been the one to turn him back to the light. However, force ghosts like Anakin should have been physically shown to us standing next too Rey whilst taking down Palpatine (even tho they were there but we weren't shown)

Tony Tenser

In my opinion, there is no better ending for the movie than the beautiful one we got, if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it.

Batamus

The emperors body was a clone, when Anakin killed the emperor in episode 6 the emperor transferred himself into a clone body that he had been working on for some time. Supreme leader from last jedi was a failed clone which the emperor was using as a puppet pretty much. Your reaction was the same as all of us fans when we saw it in theatres for the first time lol

scwyd

Damn it's unavailable now... rip :(

ItsAPrimate

It’s cuz it’s the edited reaction it’s still available on my YouTube I just didn’t reupload it here since it’s free on there
