The ending scene is just heartbreaking. At this point in the show I’d say the audience are bigger fans of Jimmy than Saul, and Jimmy is starting to crash. Love your commentary about Jimmy dying when Chuck died in the outro. RIP Werner Ziegler :(

Also notice how in that opening scene Jimmy wants to sing as a duo with Chuck and Chuck just takes the mic and goes solo instead. More of that micro symbolism that this show does so well

True, though I also think Jimmy was more than happy to let Chuck sing too. I almost feel like he was trying to goad him into just singing and having a good time, no matter what. He doesn't look unhappy when Chuck takes the mic, the opposite, actually, in my opinion.
