I started working on another commission and I wanted to update the Pyramid Head model with my favorite cosmetic for him in DBD. For the colors and layout, I took inspiration from Masahiro Ito's original character designs for Pyramid Head, and I added the tentacle tongue that was discarded in the DBD version.

Curious fact: when I imported his helmets in blender, I noticed ALL the front panels have a cutout in the bottom right corner, just where the tongue comes out from in the original SH2 game! Maybe they planned on adding the tongue poking out for his mori and then backtracked? Maybe they thought the horny would be too OP if they added a tentacle on top of his general thickness?

Considering they had to nerf his cake I wouldn't be surprised they thought the tentacle would be inciting to devious thoughts from the players... as if that ever stopped us from being horny!

Anyways! I hope you like these renders, I'll be making more posters like this with the new/updated male characters that will be coming to the roster, they deserve pin-ups too!! 😘
