Delilah paced nervously in the dimly lit room, her footsteps echoing off the stone walls. She had been waiting for what felt like an eternity, and she was starting to lose hope.

She had sent for him hours ago, and yet there was still no sign of him. Had something happened? Was he in danger?

Delilah tried to push the thoughts out of her head, but they lingered like a dark cloud. She knew that she couldn't afford to let her emotions get the better of her, not now. She had a surprise for him, something special that she had been planning for weeks.

Just as she was about to give up and retire to her chambers, the door creaked open and a figure appeared in the doorway. Delilah's heart skipped a beat as she saw him, and she ran to him, relief washing over her.

"Where have you been?" she exclaimed, taking his hand in hers. "I was so worried."

He smiled and brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. "I'm sorry, my love. I had some business to attend to. But I'm here now, and that's all that matters."

Delilah nodded, her fears melting away. She knew that she could always count on him, no matter what. With a contented sigh, she leaned into him, grateful to have him by her side.

"I have a surprise for you," she whispered, a mischievous gleam in her eye. "Close your eyes."
