Bittersweet April - May's Plans Ahead! (Patreon)

Ahoy, my sailors!

April has indeed been quite special for yer Cap'n! Because we got back aboard our beautiful ship, and I missed you so much for the past three months!! 🥰🥰🥰

Though it has been a great month art-wise and for Soulgasm's development, unfortunately, when it comes to rigging and the making of animations, well, let's start with the not-so-great news💔:

With Eria's voice missing and issue after issue encountered in the animation's rig's innards, I didn't manage to get the month's animation ready for today.

HOWEVER! Once SilkyMilk, the official voice of Eria, recovers from her sickness, I shall assemble the final animation and send it your way!!

Important: for my JumboPopcorn Tier Sailors that won't be aboard on May, you will find the animation on the mediafire link received through PM! Worry not!

A Blessing in Disguise 🔮🪄

Indeed, April hasn't been a great month when it comes to finding the help we were in dare need of. BUT! Yer Cap'n has two solutions at hand, one of which makes me very excited!:

  1. Time to Rig!: Given that we can't count on external help nor outsource this essential part of the pipeline, I shall learn the ways of Live2D. I shall leave the hat with the pencils, and get to rig things our way! This is great news because, on these few days experimenting with Eria's animation, I realized that this software has so much potential we haven't even considered exploring! So, I am extremely excited for what's to come!

  2. Teaching new talents: Our second artist at ThatWasHot Team (Soulgasm), Sharkira, is equally excited to learn Live2D and help us with the rigging! And by the looks of it, she will do a great job!

With that said, even if we are in a constant rush and extensive effort today, I know this will pay off greatly tomorrow! So I am asking you, my sailors, to bear with me because it will be worth it.

With the seemingly victorious Pike in our last poll, it seems we have some special work ahead! And I am the most excited to allocate all my energy and time to it to make it great. You deserve the best, and the best I shall get to yer hands!
