a lot of people are quick to call conrad toxic but jeres the real toxic one. he’s very manipulative. he sabotaged con and belly’s kiss. then he gets mad at belly for even looking at conrad. jare left belly at the bonfire. and when she said she hurt her ankle in the pool conrad was the only one who went to help her. conrad is not perfect by any means and he knows that. but i’m sick of people thinking jere is this sweet little angel boy. conrad has always loved her that’s why he said i liked you better with glasses to let her know i’ll love you no matter what. jere only started liking her that summer and didn’t make a move until conrad started obviously reciprocating her feelings. even though he had every opportunity to do something before. to him belly’s a prize. this is coming from someone who liked jare better but after rewatching it so many times i can’t stand him.

Idk, I feel like Belly made it very clear that she liked Conrad the whole time they’ve been growing up and Conrad has never done anything about it until starting to show interest this summer when she’s pretty… While also going back-and-forth with her and dating someone else that he was stringing along… He might’ve helped her with her ankle once but he’s definitely dropped the ball many more times while Jeramiah stepped up… if anything they’re even but I lean towards Jeramiah because at least he’s nice.

I know I am very late to this, but I'm not a fan of either brother. I can empathize with Conrad, but I'm sorry you are eighteen years old, and if you are fully aware of how you are treating people, STOP TREATING THEM LIKE THAT. He knows he's being a jerk and doesn't do anything to work on himself. Conrad needs to grow up and learn how to manage his emotions. I am sick of the excuses people give him. You can be sad and depressed, but to tear everyone around you down and make it everyone else's problem is ridiculous. Jeremiah, on the other hand, is lowkey manipulative, and I do think his feelings for Belly are somewhat skewed by his competitive relationship with his brother. As a character, I love him, but I don't think he's right for Belly. In season two, Jeremiah is going through the exact same thing as Conrad is (even struggling with more than Conrad, in my opinion), and he doesn't treat people the way Conrad does. Conrad is never consistent and remains toxic in his efforts to "protect" people.
