I just want to say I really appreciate how aware you are of the socioeconomic/class issues this show addresses. I feel like a lot of other reactors judge Simon too harshly for some of his actions, when-to me-they are the result of him struggling to climb from one station to another. It shows that a lot of times, poor people don't have the luxury of doing things 'the right way' to make a name for themselves. That's why for me, although I sympathized with Wille in season one, I was more on Simon's side, I guess. I thought the breakup scene was both mature and heartbreaking, and more nuanced than most 'on-again, off-again' tv couples are.
