I'm probably so late but from a fresh 21 year old who also hasn't really tapped into the whole Hailey vs Selena thing, here's my take on the whole situation 1. Selena dated Justin back in the day and from what I can understand they were a fan favorite of sorts. They were kind of on and off but the "Sustin/Jelener (idk what they call them chile) stans ate it up every time they were caught up with each other 2. When Selena and Justin broke up for the final time, lots of people were like "oh here we go again" but Justin actually popped up with Hailey really soon after the breakup. 3. Now here's where I can't remember clearly. Either Justin and Hailey were seen together like 1 month or so after the breakup or they got engaged at that time. Whatever it was, Selena fans thought that it was fishy that they would move on that quickly and thought that Hailey had to meddle her way into Justin and Selena's relationship because it moved on way too quickly. My best comparison could be that person from the housewives that stole that one girl's man (sorry I can't remember their names for the life of me but this was kinda recent ik Kenya made a video on it) 4. Anyways when Justin and Hailey finally tied the knot, there were like 2 big sides to the whole situation. Justin + Selena stans and Justin + Hailey stans. The JS stans would be just straight up rude to Hailey for like years. One thing I remember is Hailey went on live to talk about something totally unrelated to the situation (maybe to talk ab her beauty line or something) and the JS stans came into her stream and started spamming JELENA to the point where it got so bad that she ended the live 5. Hailey and Selena have confirmed like multiple times that they're fine and don't have issues with each other, but the stans dont let it go, which is why they took that picture together and Hailey went on that podcast to confirm that Justin didn't cheat on Selena and they're all cool. If I remember correctly the 2 sides are still being nasty to each other this day
