I am so excited you are going to be writing romance! As for the writing process I always talk to my clients about the fact that readers have certain expectations when they read a novel. Think of yourself when you open a book and keep reading... what do you want the author to deliver? Romance needs a happy ending, it needs conflict and character growth and development. There is a reason it feels like there is a recipe sometimes, it is because it works. Changing it is good too, as long as you deliver what is promised. Maybe something to keep in mind as you write? But wither way, I am sure your book is going to be amazing!
