Fortnightly Progress - 27th January (Patreon)

• No Haven

Still working on the update. Should have much more to share on this for the next one on these. 

• The No Haven Conversion / Picarto Streams

So last section was pretty short, and that's mainly cause I wanted to get straight onto this bit.   

On the last fortnightly I committed to doing a stream every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week, and there's been eight of those between then and now... and I did everyone of them!

Feeling super good about that. The temptation is there to want to beat myself up about the length of time when I wasn't able to do that. Cause that certainly was a length of time which was super non-optimal. Then a common piece of wisdom is that when someone does something unexpectedly better than before you shouldn't mock them or make them feel bad as that's just sending the entirely wrong message, and so I suppose I really should apply that internally to myself as well.

Managed to work out what was going on with the display of the UI after switching to doing everything via a text editor (which is so, so much faster btw) using Tweego. 

Examines I got working managing to work out what was going wrong with the formatting and some errant extra /if's that were being annoyingly sneaky. Value Estimating appears to just have worked straight away from the previous conversion work which was decidedly unexpected to put it lightly. 

There were some nasty recursion issues, and of the last stream I'm pretty sure that's due to an issue with the loop with assignment generation which was being a tad over enthusiastic to put it lightly. Will be doing more on that on the stream tonight to find out if I'm right about that. 

• Commissions

July+August - Snakes on Wheels : It's basically done, and I love it. Will be very surprised if you don't see that one tomorrow. 

September - Mistress-of-Torments : No further progress from the sketch mentioned in previous ones of these. Really nice sketch for sure though. 

November+December - Changing Places + Dance the Night Away + Coastal Corsairs : Coastal Corsairs is mostly confirmed. Others I'm still trying to get to that point. 

Commission poll for January has four day left, but yeah that's still a blatant crushing landslide for the Victims of Forest Goblins.
