- The No Haven Conversion
Mixing things around this time as this is arguably the bigger news.
The first Twine Twednesdays, brought to you by Dog took place yesterday and along with some prep work before hand progress has officially been started.
Did have a lot of a panic on Tuesday where after working out a way to import all the images at once I got hit by a bunch of memory errors. Thankfully the alternate way I tried of handling them appears to be working. So now every image is in the game already which is waaaaaay faster than adding them all manually like I did for WR. Yes, I wanted to re-compress them all in WR, and I wanted to replace all the item compositions as they were just dreadful, but even so I thought this was going to be a massive time sink that's already been done.
I've also worked out a better way of importing and converting than I did last time so theoretically if I don't run into memory issues again I can automatically make timers into twine passages without having to add them all manually which again took ages in WR.
So far I've done all the images, and changed the generation of them to the twine display format. I've also got the basis of the UI done in CSS to preserve some of how things were roughly setup on the RAGS version. There will of course be changes and I'm not entirely sure how I'll be able to show everything at a glance that was in RAGS so still working on solving that one.
As another plus no more only three-quarters incomplete boxes!
Converted all of those last night along with starting the text generation changes. One other problem that took a lot of time to deal with is in WR was that breaks between lines of text have to be signified as such with a <br>. Did those manually again last time which was a lot of a pain, so this time I'm doing what I can to add them with regular expressions.
This is going to take awhile as there's a lot of different text in terms of different breaks. Do want to try and take care of as much of the text automatically before I move onto the conditions and the like though as it's still going to be much, much faster than adding them manually.
- No Haven
Hotfix came out as planned and was finally able to turn it into a proper public release at last which was a relief.
So now I'm working on the new update. Mainly been sorting out just what the patron assignments are going to involve. We've got an Uncommon Great Plains assignment with different goals, a special Uncommon assignment with different versions that can be found in all of the regions, a Rare assignment involving Oozes, and a special one off Super Rare assignment with different stages.
There's also the many new aspects coming and a re-balance planned to address issues caused by owned slavers.
The Direction Polling for the update after that is over and Magic/Elementalism for the player won.
We've also seen the start of the Discord assignment. This happened last year and resulted in Arisin' on the Storm so I'm looking forward to what they help come up with this time. Special thanks to the two patrons who have helped to set this up and fund both the assignment and commission that will go with it.
- Commissions
The May+June poll has three days to go. The cheerleaders are still in the lead and I'm not expecting a late upset, but who knows. Going to be interesting to see if I can find an artist willing to take such a large complicated piece on.
Both Scout the Ever Forest and the Lago'Mae Biomancer of the Ensnared Rose are done and to me I think they're pretty good! They'll both be included in the next update.
The Asanei maid is still planned for the end of July so no news as expected there.
Ended up arranging a new pair of bonus commissions which will be used for an entirely new slave training path. First one is entirely done. I think the second part is going to take longer so may end up posting them separately as I really like how the first part turned out. Will see how that goes.

All of these will be at the usual time of 22:30 BST outside of the odd occasional one where I need to catch up and so start an hour earlier or change the planned day. With the Twine Twednesdays, brought to you by Dog I'm now streaming 13 hours a week.
I will need to take next week off from streaming due to being away from my main computer. I will though still be able to complete the scheduled Wednesday NH Twine conversion streams.
