So you know we support both HD & LW render pipelines and for each release we maintain builds for both. The main reason for that was LW had much better performance comparing to HD so was more suited for VR. 

However with the recent improvements in HD, its performance is getting really good now. Most of the time it is able to run at full FPS of the headset if you are not pushing it too hard. On the other hand many of the recent graphic enhancements are simply not supported in LW and with the effects that are availble on both, LW usually renders at much poorer quality.  

So the question now is does it make sense to drop the LW variant completely? What do you think?

yea i dropped the lw version since HD is at a decent FPS now.

The FPS is getting worse compare to the previus version with the same quality settings. I have a RTX 2060 running in QUEST 2 with link and in version LW 1.1.0.305 i was runnig at 90fps with the render scale in 4/3 now even in the lowest setting even downsacaling the quest resolution the fps are very inconsistent dropping to 40 or so constantly.

I'm guessing there must be some error that happens every frame that caused the FPS to drop to that low. If you can find the log file and send it to us then we might be able to see if there's any error. What's the fps when you have no actors and no stage model loaded? And what's the fps when you run in desktop mode with the same setup? And how about HD? Also is your PC a desktop build or a laptop?
