The new version allows you to load any panoramic image as the background. This video demonstrates where to find good quality sky map images and how to use them in DVVR 0.8.

Issues I have found in the HD version: Hair shader turns the texture completely pink. Another Issue is that normal maps work inconsistently and the texture does not look uniformed. In previous versions it was working, but it was already hard to get it to work correctly since I had to edit the model to include _d at the end of textures. The normal map would also disappear when adjusting gloss or skin shader, but I could always re enable it to get everything working together. I have only tested in VR. Another big issue since 0.7, is loading 5 or so models, it will crash almost all the time. This might just be my setup since I'm using a weird content folder with symbolic links, I will try a new folder later. Other than that I like this new version with the new content refresh, It takes so long otherwise with all the models i have. I'm surprised you didn't mention physics improvements for PMX models. Model with complicated breast joints are working much better. There are some models that still won't play nice. I wish we could get something like a offset (like XPS models have) for the breast physics.

Thanks very much for the feedback. We disabled mipmaps for the ground to render properly and that made character textures look sharper too, so we applied this change to all, maybe that's why they "don't look uniformed". The other change related to normal maps is that when using skin shader normal maps are disabled by default because we noticed a strange render defect on many XPS models when the normal map is on. We'll look into these further and make adjustments if necessary.

sweet, thanks for your hard work. I'm mainly using LW version. But every time I start it up, its empty. it seems to forget what my settings were, even though I have 'load previous on startup' checked. It doesn't save/load automatically anymore. And I have to load everything again manually. and also....the stage setting (gloss/glow etc) still isn't saving either. It's been like that for the last 4-5 updates now. having to change everything to transparent is very bothersome. It will not save the settings I have for the stages. all the gloss/glow goes back to 0. ZERO! upon reload.

You did mention that many times before. I believe we checked loading of stage settings last month and I tested again just now, it seems working fine. I changed a few material settings and they are remembered next time I load the same stage. Can you check if your content folders are not set as "read-only" and the permissions are all normal? The 'load previous on startup' and "save & load scene" are a bit broken at the moment, We'll look into it.

hello, new member here, just want to ask that when i load some model have problem that their eye got no texture. but when i open in xps its normal.

In that case, there is usually some texture like "eye shadow" or "eye reflection" that covers the eye. You can go into settings, find those materials and disable them or set them to transparent mode. This is because the program is unable to tell if the texture is supposed to be transparent and used the standard mode by default.

Working on it but is currently in the middle of a transition that requires fixing a few other things as well so it's not going to make a hotfix but should be available in the next monthly release.

sometime, I randomly loose all my favorites and Tags, among my thousands of models .... pretty harsh. Is there any way to avoid that from happening ?

Where would a good place be to get new motions and models? Or do they need to be re-worked to be compatible?
