New Ambience: Launch Day (Patreon)

Greetings Patrons,

Here's a modern/sci-fi adjacent track that centers around a rocket on a gantry. The community is out to cheer on the brave souls aboard as preparations for launch are made. So many stories came to me while making this: A dying world makes a last-ditch effort to discover a new home? A new propulsion system is being tested that will bring the galaxy closer? A reclusive scientist prepares another crackpot scheme and his previous failures have been quite entertaining!

The ambience here is outdoor crowd sounds, plus various mechanical noises and venting gas. Musically it's a hybrid track featuring pointallistic synths, meandering strings, and of course, (thank you John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith) a French horn.  This is squarely in cinematic underscore territory so I think it would work well across many genres. The synths make it lean away a bit from traditional fantasy, but there's a magical quality to the whole thing that could make up for it. 

This is in Patreon sneak-peek mode currently so I've included the mixed version (live on the site next week), as well as music-only and ambience-only versions here. Additionally, I created 2 "no-crowd" versions that really should be called "indoors" because they remove the outdoor breeze and crowd sounds (walla).

As the holidays are rapidly approaching, I'm going to attempt to get another track finished for next week. After that, I'll be off for a few days with my family and in-laws in the mountains.
