I finally read Joe Haldeman's excellent Forever War last week. Plus, I've been watching the new season of The Expanse, so naturally it was time for a sci-fi ambience.

I took my cue from the classic - "we've lost contact with the outpost! " trope and went from there. Lunar Outpost is  a suspenseful , damaged wreck of an installation. Wires hanging from the ceiling,  intermittent power and all manner of things fritzing out.

Although I think the overall vibe of this one is suspenseful, I think it would work well for horror games as well. As always, I'd love to hear how you use it.

Thank you all for your continuing support.

best,

Tim

Forever War is great! If you dug that, another classic sci-fi you might like is "Rendezvous with Rama" by Arthur C. Clarke.

Thanks Doug, I haven't read that yet but it's been on my to-read list for years. I'll bump it up to the top. -Tim

My wife and I just finished season 1 of The Expanse! Loved it! Something to look forward to as Grimm winds down.

I think my wife doesn't love the Expanse as much as I do. Apparently there's a hard sc-ifi line in the sand somewhere that we may have crossed!

Will listen tomorrow when I get the chance! I haven't yet seen The Expanse, but I trust it's not required to enjoy the soundscape :D Shine on!

Not at all! It was just inspiration. Similar vibe to the Alien movies as well. -Tim

Just finished Expanse book 5 (Nemesis Games) - this is a good fit for the adventures in the last part of the book. :)
