New Ambience: Covert Ops (Patreon)

Greetings Patrons,

I hope your 2023 is off to a good start! I've been watching the second season of the excellent spy drama, "Slow Horses" and have been loving the very non-glamorous world of espionage they've created.  Covert Ops is my version of this type of noir, but not really retro music. I did add a muted trumpet bit as an ever-so-subtle nod to the genre, but beyond that, it's fairly modern. Musically it's got orchestral string textures treated with effects, synths, and treated piano.

For the ambience, my original idea was that it was going to be in this underground boiler room in an industrial facility. But midway through I thought, what if it was outside under a bridge? Maybe more like a stakeout? I ended up going with this one.

As this track is in patron-only sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed-version (on the site next week), as well as ambience-only and music-only versions here. Additionally, I went back and found out that I still liked the original facility version, so I worked that into shape and added both a mixed-version, and an ambience-only version featuring that as background.

In other news, the site issue of last week has been resolved (It was just me doing something incredibly dumb).
