Greetings Patrons,

The theme this week was definitely drums and percussion. I've been reading about Euclidean rhythms and how I could use them algorithmically to create interesting polyrhythms. That experiment lead me down a bit of a rabbit hole as I experimented with varying numbers of beats against each other. Naturally, as I think with all polyrhythmic material, I ended up at occult ritual. Maybe I've just got a one-track mind.

The point is, that I thought it was a perfect accompaniment to the Bloodgate Nexus, a series of portals designed to bring vast armies from one location to another. Or something like that. I actually mostly stopped reading after the word 'bloodgate' - as it already sounded so cool. Plus, dimensional portals, gateways, etc are just such a useful and fun story feature that it didn't really matter if I got all the lore right.

As this track is in sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version, as well as 4 additional versions, here for patrons. In addition to the traditional music-only, and ambience-only versions, I've done 2 additional 'no vocal' versions in case you don't want the wizard/chant aspect to your scene. Or, in case you want a version where they've disappeared/haven't shown up yet. In any case, I hope it makes this even more flexible.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

This was another homerun. I'm not really into percussion and was wondering where this would go. That Euclid guy...what a character. :) I find it absolutely fascinating that the Golden Ratio (Fibonacci Series) was known to the Greeks and so many that came before. It's amazing how much it can be found in music through the ages. I find Euclidian Rhythms to be minimalistic. Have you looked back at your past works to see if you're already incorporating Euclidian Rhythms into your work? Keep up the great work.
