Greetings Patrons,

I've been on a bit of a Cthulhu kick recently. Last week, I created an Investigator's Office, which is where most Cthulhu mythos games either start or, eventually arrive. It's the equivalent of D&D's tavern in many ways.

Since Lovecraft's stories were all centered around his home in New England, I thought that a bleak, foggy fishing village, possibly a whaling town, would make an interesting environment to explore. Bleakwater Docks is exactly that place. It could be any time of day or night, it would probably look the same. Water laps against barnacle-encrusted hulls, ropes creak against rusted capstans, and dark figures lurk in the shadows.

Musically, this track is mostly layers of modulating drones made up of bowed objects, voices, and some metallic percussion. A single cello occasionally pierces the murk, before being subsumed by it. The music-only track could easily double as an ambience track.

The ambience-only track is still fairly bleak, thanks to the wind and the creaking of the boats. But should allow you to change up the tone, musically, if you wanted. I find it oddly relaxing.

Of course, these tracks don't have to be used in Lovecraftian games at all. Your D&D party might enjoy a visit to a particularly unsavory docks district! However you choose to use them, I hope these are useful and find their way into your stories.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim
