Greetings Patrons,

It's been hard not to pay attention to the hype surrounding the new Wizard's of the Coast D&D book, "Candlekeep Mysteries". I don't often keep track of these modules but just reading the descriptions of a "massive library, built into a fortress, on a cliff, over looking the ocean"...How could I not?

So here's my take on the great library section of this amazing setting. And yes, before I get too far, I did cleverly change the name of my track. I'm not sure I needed to? But, I did anyway.

For those who aren't familiar, or don't care about D&D settings or modules, this is still a very story-rich location. A library, occupied by scholars, whispering in the stacks, scrawling on parchments. The distant sounds of the surf below can just be made out. In the upper alcoves, monks chant the prophecies of the founder in an endless recitation. It could simply be a medieval library, or an arcane scroll repository, or a monastery.

I've included two alternate versions here for patrons.  A music-only version, which is basically just the chant with some sparse strings, chimes and minimal percussion. And an ambience -only version which is everything else - the scholars in the library. I hope you find these useful.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

The Music only (with chanting) track also works for a Temple - excellent!

My friends and I have been playing a Candlekeep based campaign since before the new book was announced, and we were all looking forward to it. But this track so perfectly captures the mood I had imagined for the place, I'm not even sure I need the book anymore! Well done.
