I haven't done a music track in a while, and while I do enjoy making them, they present unique challenges for my 'everything is 10 minutes long' format. I decided that this track, Dark City, would be a modern TV style background bed. The kind that's often used as a subtle momentum aide. A scene that may not be full-on action, say, searching a desk, or sitting in a car watching a building often needs a boost from the soundtrack to let you know, 'hey, this is kind of exciting!'. I thought this would make a good addition to the gaming table as well, for those scenes that need something...but not too much.

A quick note about Patreon's update to the creator pages: You may have noticed that the monthly pledge amount on my Patreon page has gone down significantly from where it was. Patreon has recently started subtracting it's own fees and declined pledges from the displayed total to give a more accurate reflection of what creators are earning. And while we did break the $500/month goal, I never actually earned that. The new amount shown on my page is more in line with what I receive each month. I think this is a good thing.

Thanks so much to each of you for your continued support of Tabletop Audio!

best,

Tim
