New Ambience: Dying World (Patreon)

Greetings Patrons,

This ambience started out very differently. In fact, I created a cool glassy sounding patch with Omnisphere and my first pass of this track was titled "Crystal City". So, yeah. What happened?

Well actually this kind of thing happens all the time. I set out on one path and end up on another.  One of my favorite things about working on Tabletop Audio is that I get to do that kind of creative exploration. Obviously this kind of thing doesn't happen when I'm doing work for clients. I'm pretty good at sticking to a script too! I don't think anyone would be be too pleased if the creative brief called for a peaceful wooded setting and I handed them a dystopian nightmare!

Anyway, I liked where this was going and I also liked that it can be used for both sci fi or fantasy or even modern type stories.

I didn't get too involved with the music. Well, I did, but it didn't work, so I left it with some simple escalating chordal sequences that implied a bit of tension. I've included an ambience only version of this track here for Patrons.
