Greetings patrons,

I was transferring sounds from my field recorder to my archives recently and I came across this longish recording I did outside my bedroom window in Brooklyn using a Sony PCM-m10 recorder with EM-172 mics. Just as an FYI, towards the end (around the 10:30 mark) it's got some traffic and fire engine noises. Other than that it's got some close splats (from the ivy around the window) and distant city hum, but also some nice rain and thunder.

The recording is 12:49 long  I left it barely edited.  I eq'd out the ultra low end <20hz and trimmed the end slightly so you don't hear the dog and me walking over to stop the recorder. I also changed the bit depth from 24 to 16 so it wouldn't be too huge. That said, it's 133MB. I just learned that Patreons file size limit for posts is 200MB!

You may of course use this in any of your projects, no need to credit me. Hope some of you find this useful.

More actual sounds that I spent time working on coming this week!

Best,

Tim

It's been hot and dry out - so I put this on while reading or drawing. Thanks!

I cropped out the sirens and cars and now my wife uses this to go to sleep instead of the generated one she used to. She said it's the best rain recording shes used.
