Greetings Patrons,

I hope the holiday season has been good to you.

Thanks to a request from a supporter here on Patreon, I've added a new feature to the ambience player on the homepage. You can now loop individual tracks within a playlist.

The reason for this, as stated by the requester, is that many of you like to queue up a bunch of tracks ahead of time for play, but don't necessarily want them play one after the other. The workaround for this has been adding multiple instances of the same track. The downside of course was you never really knew how many instances you needed to add. Were your players going to stay in the tavern for 30 minutes? (3x tavern tracks), or an hour? (6x tavern tracks).

Now your playlists can be much cleaner. One track is all you need. You can loop and un-loop it whenever you need. When you select loop on an individual track, it will keep playing indefinitely until you deselect it or click on the next track.

You can have a tavern, a dungeon and a fight track queued up and loop each one until you're ready to move on.

The loop button at the top of the interface still loops the entire playlist. Deselecting this will have no impact on the looping of individual tracks. If there is only one track in the playlist and the loop playlist toggle is selected (it's on by default) the track will also loop endlessly.

This new toggle allows endless looping of single tracks in a multi-track playlist.

I hope you find this feature useful.

best,

Tim

Dang, that's clever! Thanks to the patron who suggested it, and to you, Tim, for an as-usual flawless execution!
