Hello Everyone, Xeralex here, and I am making this post to let tell you about some new developments on the gaming area from me, and a little preview to all of you, on what to mainly expect from our future games making! With no further delay, let me start explaining.

First, let me tell you from now, that I will not be making any VN based games. Not that I hate them, I really love them, so much in fact that I am really thinking of making VN like animations for the events and interactions in the games, but my main focus, passion, and dream is to make my own RPG games. Which is what I shall be doing from this point on.

About a year ago, I slowly started the development of my first RPG game, a pet project so to speak, called "Engineer's Quest" which I will resume working soon too, now that I have a working pc once more! But as I do, I wanted to tell you a little more of what I have in mind, and what I will be doing as I am working on this game.

You see I am not making and engine from the scratch so to speak. I am using the RPG-MAKER MV. An RPG engine, as its name says as, that has a standard RPG game engine for simple, yet classic making RPG games. The engine comes with its own original pixel, music, battle system and map making assets. Really all anyone needs to make a simple game. I shall be using the engine to make my own games, but at the same time I shall be creating my own Core engines, little by little, as I will be learning to create my own original assets for the game, input plugins for the system, to modify the engine for more options and uses (example: different battle system, more visuals and music effects, and/or actions)

Now, as you can see here, I aim to create 2 engines. Why is that? Well mainly both are gonna have the same mechanics and systems, BUT there is one system that really makes the difference all together to each engine, and forces me to make two of them. The battle system.

There are two kinds of battle systems that I can mainly use, and as you can see in the pic above, both have some unique options and uses for a nice gameplay system, as they have some difficulties all together too. Mainly speaking, time-consuming to make.  Now, don't get me wrong. I know far too well that all good things take time to make, thus I know far too well that no matter what this whole deal will take a lot of time. But that is also why I am making 2 kind of core engines to have and use. You see, on the 1st core engine, I can focus and make fewer animations, and sprites, thus finish projects faster. Really a good engine to have for small, fun projects to make. And the 2nd core engine, gives me the space for plenty of customizations to make, on the details left and right, like spell casting animations, or damage taken animations, and so on...! And not forgetting unique features that they might have too (read pic above to see what I mean)

So yeah, long story sort, we have plenty of work ahead of us, and I hope you enjoy it as we slowly get down and finish each part of it, little by little ^w^.
Ooh, and just to not worry anyone, game dev will not replace our art and comics progression! Our main focus will be them, and now that the new pc is almost fully ready, we shall be soon resuming our daily art streams, too! There you can come and watch us as we work on art for 3 to 4 hours, a day, and then another 1 to 2 hours of game dev progression!

Lastly, I would like to share with you my pet project plants i have for the few games i'll be working as i develop these engines.

As you can see, I shall mainly focus on the first engine for the first games, but at the same time work on the details of each game more and more.

Welp, that's all for now from the game dev part for now. For any questions you may have, please don't hesitate to ask us down on the comments below. Thank you all for your time, and I wish you all a good day!
