Chapter 12 – Parade II

When I looked up, I saw that the hero was still waving and showing affection to the people.


Hmmm, maybe being a hero is a hard job.


While busy thinking about this, I offered him a bouquet of flowers, being as humble as a maid and as pretty as a girl.


I thought it was the most appropriate way to get out of the situation so as not to ruin the mood.

In a high-pitched voice, something in her hand glistens in the sunlight.


It is a saber.


And from there, the pegasus and the woman accelerate, slicing through the wind as she dives down.

The wings of the pegasus flapped as the woman’s saber raced toward the very throat of the hero.


Then a metallic sound echoed across the blue sky.


The attack failed to reach the hero.


And instead, it exchanged blows with another woman who had suddenly appeared a few moments earlier.


“Don’t be an idiot! Stop this now!”


It was the female warrior from earlier, with her blue armor and a long-handled weapon. She stood in our path, blocking the pegasus rider’s saber with her own.


“Idiot!? Where’s the idiocy in avenging your enemy? Get out of my way!”


“Like I said, that man is alive… kyaaa!”


The pegasus woman slashes at the female warrior before she can finish. The female warrior intercepted, and they exchanged sword blows.


Fast…


Neither of the women backed down, and the people on the main street gasped at the back-and-forth combat.


They may look like glamorous young women, but it’s clear from this battle scene that they literally have the military might of tens of thousands of men.


As the female warrior performs a dazzling display of body movement as she swings her long weapon, the pegasus brushes her off with its hooves, and the woman on horseback immediately counterattacks with wind magic.


But the warrior easily deflects it.


As a result, the wind magic flowed towards me.


It must have been an instantaneous event, but it seemed very slow to me.


I should have at least tried to avoid it, but I closed my eyes and shrank back in fear.

I thought, but the impact didn’t come, no matter how long it took.


When I opened my eyes in fear, I saw a man in red armor – the hero – standing in front of me.


“It’s not safe here. Let’s run away.”


He flashed his white teeth and took me with him, grabbing me in a ‘princess carry’.

As I thought this, he slowly floated up, and I floated up with him.


In the blink of an eye, the ground of the boulevard moved away from my eyes.


At that moment, my first concern was that my skirt would roll up and expose my underwear and that I might be screwed.

The Pegasus woman started to give chase, but the female warrior stopped her.


The cheers of the people on the boulevard were a mixture of delight at the sight of the flying hero, a transcendent of a man, and jealousy that he had snatched me away without permission, along with whistling in the background as if it were all part of a show.


Indeed, it may be the most romantic scene in the world for a girl to be carried off by a hero in the arms like a princess.


But for me, as a man, I could only describe it as the worst feeling.


Finally, when the people began to look like ants crawling between buildings, the hero landed on the roof of a building just off San Cézanne Street.


It is a fine building, about four or five stories high, but the roof seems to have received no special attention and is deserted.


“Now that the obstacles are gone, I can have you all to myself.”


I feel nauseous as the hero closes the distance between us, my lips tightening.


“I-is it okay for Sir Hero to leave the parade? Don’t you have to head back…?”

So the hero sets the mood again and begins to bring our lips together.
