“Hey. Aren’t they the S-rank party that’s active in the royal capital?”

I looked up at the murmur of people in the Adventurers’ Guild.

This is the Adventurers’ Guild in Cassandra City, where today, as always, there are a lot of grim-looking men. I am a humble office worker in the quest mediation section of the guild.

Basically, adventurers are just guys who want to be romantic and boastful of their prowess, and because most of these types of jobs attract men, there are very few female members in the guild. Of course, it would be different if they went to the royal capital, but that’s just how it works in the adventurers’ guilds of rural towns outside of its influence.

But today, however, it was as if a big flower was blooming.

A female warrior with bright red hair cut at her shoulders and a supple physique.

A dainty Elvish archer with green eyes and silver hair, looking like a princess.

A wizard with blond twin-tail hair, fox ears, and a fox tail, holding a magic wand, looking cute and petite like a small animal.

And finally, a pink-haired healer with a glamorous atmosphere with a chest so big that you can almost hear them bouncing.

I was dealing with a bunch of swarthy men at the adventurers’ guild when suddenly they appeared before me – a group of four attractive women who looked like they came out of a picture story yet also gave off an aura of strength.

I stopped my paperwork and stared at them with my mouth open.

“Hey! Is that the “Rosenkreuzer” who is active in the royal capital?”

“I think they are here to clear the Dungeon of the Hungry Wolf in this city.”

“A fine bunch of women… I’d love to have a shot with one of them if given the chance.”

As these women walked briskly, the adventurers around them made way for them like a wave breaking. However, some of them were daring, saying nasty things to the girls here and there, and some even gave them lecherous glances.

However, the girls didn’t seem perturbed by such words or glances and just walked up to the reception desk without reacting.

“Hey. I have a couple of questions.”

It was the red-haired female warrior from “Rosenkreuzer” who opened her mouth.

A female staff member at the reception desk responded.

“Y-yeshh! I-ish-dherr-shoming-eii-ccuubb-hheohhhep-pyu-wiff!?”

Or rather, tried to respond but couldn’t.

Seeing the puzzled look on the female warrior’s face and the tense, frozen receptionist who had somehow amazingly bitten her tongue in her every word, I decided to get up from my seat and take over the receptionist’s job.

“Welcome to the Cassandra City Adventurers Guild. Is there something I can help you with?”

“Yeah… oh, we’re not here for work actually, coz we usually work around the capital. We are here because of an escorting mission to this town assigned to us by the Melda Chamber of Commerce for their goods. But since they don’t need an escort on the way back as they have decided to stay here for a while, we might as well do something here, so we decided to challenge the Dungeon of the Hungry Wolf before going back.”

“Understood. Please wait while we bring you a map of the dungeon.”

This female warrior of the “Rosenkreuzer” seemed to be the leader, as the other three remained silent and only listened to us.

When I handed the map to the female warrior, I also gave the necessary information about the dungeon and what monsters could be found inside it.

Then, she said, “All right. I’ll come back if there’s anything else I need to know.”

“Safe travels.”

Both the guidance and the goodbye were simple.

The conversation ended without a word of thanks from the female warrior nor a glance from her, and they left the Adventurers’ Guild in a flash.

“Well, damn! That was one hell of a lineup of beauties!”

“–!! Guildmaster…”

Even after the girls left, the buzz in the Adventurers’ Guild did not subside. Instead, the guildmaster approached me as if trying to blend in with the bustle.

Let’s keep it a secret that I almost screamed when this stern-faced old man jumped out to me without any warnings from the side. But it couldn’t be helped as the guildmaster here, who was a former adventurer, was with thick eyebrows and a rocky face. To sum up, a very scary face.

“Thanks for following up with the receptionist, Ryou.”

“That was nothing, really.”

“But I didn’t expect an S-rank party like ‘Rosenkreuzer’ to come here. I hope they stay for a long time, if possible.”

Cassandra City is a rural town with few tourist attractions. The Dungeon of the Hungry Wolf, located just a horse-drawn carriage ride away from the city, is its only tourist attraction, but that is for adventurers.

It is an easy town to live in, but perhaps because of its distance from the royal capital, the guild has always been troubled by the lack of high-ranked adventurer parties visiting over the past few years.

Currently, the highest-rank party residing in the town is a B-rank party. But no matter what rank, they can freely dive into the dungeon, especially on the deeper parts where more amazing treasures and rare monsters await, but only if they have sufficient luck and skill to surpass the danger.

However, due to the continued absence of high-ranked parties, rare treasures and materials in the deep dungeons are rarely brought in these days.

The guild master is hoping that the ladies will bring some of the treasures that lie in the dungeon’s deeper levels to the guild.

“Ryou, you should have at least asked them out for dinner! Those treasures ain’t gonna come here themselves!”

“Please don’t do that. Also, I’m just a guild employee, so it’s obvious that they will turn their backs on me.”

“Gahahaha! Well, I can’t deny that! Well, I guess we won’t be seeing those treasures even if it takes us many years. But, for now, let’s be satisfied that we were able to see the precious faces of an S-rank party that we don’t get to see very often.”

The guildmaster laughs boldly as he says something kind of sad.

“Oh, yeah. Ryou, the Melda Trading Company they were talking about earlier. There are some magic items among the goods they brought in. You go and check them out.”

“Understood.”

I nodded at the guildmaster’s words and got up from my seat.

…By the way, receptionist. These ladies have already left the guild. How long are you planning to stand there?
